Donate now to support so we can bring more events like this! 1st place 8002nd place 4503rd place 250all other bands 100Competing Bands: The Nick Tauer Band, Traverse the Abyss, Into Sunday, The Sex Monkeys, Swing N’ A Miss, Project 9, Azlyn, Intoxxxication, and Suppress the Sky.Winners will be determined by audience response, musical talent, and on-stage performance. Eight bands have been selected to compete for $2,000 in cash – First Prize $800, Second $450, Third $250, and $100 for each of the remaining five participants.  The First Prize winner will also receive a session to record a song at Soundmine Recording Studio, the potential for a headlining show in the Sherman Showcase, and future consideration to open for a national performing artist at the Sherman Theater.   Various genres of music will be represented and the bands will be judged on musical talent, on-stage performance, and audience response. Judges for the event include Dan Malsch, owner of Soundmine Recording Studio and Soundmine Recording Academy in East Stroudsburg, John Oakes, owner of the 10,000 capacity outdoor Poconos Park amphitheater in Bushkill, and Daniel Romagno, talent buyer and booking agent for the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg.   Dan Malsch, owner of Soundmine Recording Studio and Soundmine Recording Academy, is a sound engineer who has worked with American Music Award winning and Grammy nominated bands and artists from around the world. First Prize includes a session at Soundmine to record, mix and produce a song. John Oakes is an entertainment entrepreneur, executive, marketer, and owner of Poconos Park, a 10,000 capacity outdoor amphitheater.  He specializes in producing and marketing music festivals, concerts, events, brands, artists, partners, and fans. Daniel Romagno is the talent buyer/booking agent for Sherman Theater events.  A knowledgeable and experienced music industry professional, he has eight years of experience in concert venue management and production.
