Eyes of the Nile – Iron Maiden Tribute

$18 ADV | $20 DOS Eyes of the Nile formed in late summer of 2015, when Chris answered a Craigslist ad placed by Navid for a Maiden tribute.  A few emails and a voice memo recording of the chorus of “Flight of Icarus” later, the two realized they knew each other and had crossed paths in the Northern Virginia music scene, had a mutual respect for each other’s work, and decided to recruit other musicians to play the classic Maiden catalog.  Chris is a conservatory trained professional percussionist with the Navy band in Washington DC, who has also played countless shows with prominent DC area cover band Dr. FU.  Navid is currently the vocalist/guitarist and main songwriter in Iris Divine, a progressive metal band signed to Sensory Records.  Several auditions later, the strings came together with Daniel Tidwell (vocalist/ guitarist/ songwriter of Terracide) and Jason Hurley on guitar, and finally, Fern on bass.  “Next best thing to Iron Maiden!”“I said it before… I’ll say it again, You guys are the best Maiden Tribute Band on Planet Earth!!!”“These dudes are as close to the real thing that there is.”“Eyes Of The Nile are as as good as they get, they are a great band band that delivers a solid concert experience for even the most hardcore fan.” With a shared love for the music of Iron Maiden, Eyes of the Nile is committed to delivering the songs with intensity and emotion; while you may hear a vibrato reminiscent of Bruce Dickinson, Harris’ signature Fender bass tone, or Clive and Nicko’s rhythm nuances, the band has chosen to forego stage props and costumes (although an Eddie the ‘Ead might pop up at any time), and keeps the focus where it belongs – on the music of Iron Maiden, some of the greatest in the history of heavy metal.

Brotality

$15 ADV | $18 DOS With a name that evokes memories of bands like Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, and Pantera, New York’s Brotality strives to honor the glory days of thrash metal while injecting a modern twist of melody and progressive grooves.  The guys in Brotality – brothers Bryce Maopolski (guitar and vocals) and Reece Maopolski (bass and vocals) along with friend John Haring (drums) – have created a band that unapologetically takes its sonic cues straight from the founding fathers of metal. With tight songwriting, muscular vocals, and crushing riffs in abundance, Brotality has created a dynamic force worthy of carrying forward the Heavy Metal moniker. They cite Mastodon and Megadeth as influences, and it won’t take long for anyone who listens to their music to be smacked in the face with an undeniable old-school sensibility.   The Maopolski brothers started Brotality in 2016. In a few short years, Brotality has released two EP’s, multiple singles, and two full length albums. Their debut full length, “Worldwide Desolation”, has received countless rave reviews and landed on several “Best Albums of 2021” lists. Their sophomore album, “The Woods Will End You” won Reader’s Choice Album of the Year on Metal Epidemic, Top 7 Thrash Albums on Scream Blast Repeat along with Bryce being honored with a spot on their Best Guitarists of 2022 list and spots on many other Top Albums of 2022 lists.   Their journey has given them opportunities to play well-known venues such as The Bitter End NYC, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (where they opened for Deep Purple and Judas Priest), Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia, several multi-day festivals and Stage West in Scranton, PA where they won the 570 Music Show’s Best Metal Band award for 2019. Brotality was also nominated for Best Metal Band at the 2021 and 2022 Steamtown Music Awards and Best Metal Band 2021 and 2022 for the Central PA Music Hall of Fame Awards.   In the Spring of 2020, Brotality was elated to announce that they signed with Rottweiler Records. An ambitious 2022 schedule saw the band embarking on an expansive six week national summer tour. In April of 2023 they will be headed to Mexico to play Exodo Fest.   Brotality has had several singles hit the Loud charts. Foxhole made it to #2, Salting The Wound #5 and Prisoners Of The Abyss debuted in the top 25. A slew of new singles have been released preceding their sophomore full length which released in early June 2022.  Nosedive was the first to drop on 12/3/21 and charted at #6 on the Loud charts. Frost Empire and An Evil Presence recently released on 1/21/22 and 3/18/22. For continuous updates please check out the social media links below.
